Cascabel Tacquria

by Ada on March 11, 2012

Thursday night I met my friend Curry at Cascabel Tacqueria.

The weather was so unseasonably nice that we even got to sit outside!

Cascabel offers a great happy hour menu with four dollar small plates and six dollar margaritas.

I imbibed with a pomegranate-hibiscus margarita. Theoretically, the drink sounded interesting, but the execution was way too sweet for my tastes. Still a great deal at six dollars, though!

Curry went with sangria and seemed to enjoy it.

For food we decided to split numerous dishes off the happy hour menu.

First up was a quinoa salad (off the regular menu)

Next came the Mexican sliders (chicken, vegetable, and beef)

we also selected individual tacos. Curry chose chicken

while I chose vegetable

Between the dry chicken and muted flavors, I found the cuisine rather mediocre. Given the four-dollar per plate price tag, however, I really can’t complain. I would definitely return for the relaxing atmosphere and interesting beverages. And, per usual, it was great to catch up with Curry:)
